The Commonwealth
- is a voluntary association of 53 independent states consulting and cooperating in the common interests of their peoples
- was founded in 1931 and is represented by the Commonwealth Secretariat and its various organs
- has 2 billion citizens, about 30% of the world’s population
- 34 Commonwealth countries have diplomatic representation to Finland, 6 have full embassies (India, United Kingdom, South Africa, Canada, Malaysia and Cyprus)
- BCCCF works closely with the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC) in providing a bridge between private sector and governments, between emerging markets and developed markets and between small business and the international private sector
